After-School Embroidery Class

Unleash the world of imagination through needle and thread!

Mary Broddle Embroidery has partnered with Bubble & Bean to bring you this after-school activity — combining creative stitching with a weekly bubble tea treat.

Ages 8+ | No experience needed | Everyone works at their own pace

Each session builds real embroidery skills through engaging, themed projects. Along the way, children will learn:

• Creativity and self-expression
• Patience and focus
• Fine motor skills
• Design transfer and finishing techniques

Led by Mary Broddle

Drawing on 20 years of embroidery expertise, Mary designs projects that take children from basic stitches through to more intricate designs — always at a pace that suits them. Both Mary and Jo Jo hold enhanced DBS checks, so you’re welcome to leave your child with us.

• Expert instruction — from fundamentals to intricate designs, tailored to build confidence step by step
• Tailored curriculum — beginners start with the basics and progress at their own speed; more experienced stitchers can move on to complex projects
• Inspiring projects — a changing variety of themes to keep young minds captivated, from samplers to personalised designs
• Safe, welcoming environment — a positive, inclusive space where children can express themselves and build friendships
• Quality materials included — hoops, needles, threads and fabric all provided

Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00pm (term time)

⚙️ How It Works

This term’s theme: woodland inspired design. As well as learning the stitches themselves, children will prepare their fabric, transfer their design, and finish the piece ready for display.

Sessions are booked in half-termly blocks, paid in advance.

💷 Cost

£16.50 per session — includes all materials and a bubble tea each week.
