Join us at this visible mending workshop and save your clothes from waste. Learn transferable mending skills & make clothing re-wearable!
Did you know that a massive £140M worth of clothing goes to landfill in the UK each year? Don’t throw out clothes with holes – repair them!
We’re pleased to welcome Mary Broddle Embroidery back to Shop Zero once again. Join Mary for a fun session learning how to patch your favourite jeans or darn your cosiest jumper. Moreover, all materials and equipment are provided to you. Just bring along a couple of items. Suitable items are jeans, jumpers, and anything with holes or stains. This is the perfect time to repair them and make them pretty to wear!
This visible mending workshop teaches you ways to beautifully repair your clothes. This results in longer lasting garments and less waste too!
No items needing repair? Don’t worry, Mary will provide some fabric you can learn with.
PLUS – The mending doesn’t stop here – you have the option to purchase your very own, “take-at-home” mending kit so you can continue using your newfound skills after the workshop!
The workshop runs from 10am-1pm on Saturday the 1st July. We have 7 spaces in the workshop, meaning you will get close attention and help from Mary.
